Will online printing do you good? In my opinion, yes.

As a graphic designer, you will always want to do all yourself, with a hope to safe money.
Business cards, cover letters and brochure printing can actually be done yourself.

If you are that kind of graphic designer, here’s an astonishing fact: DIY might cost more money than if you outsource your printing jobs to printing shops, especially those that are online!

Here’s why:

  • Printing shops, including those that are online, have all the tool, and usually run a job in bulk - therefore, cost per print is cheaper.
  • Online printing shops take cost-cutting a little further - your order delivered to your doorstep, saving gas cost and commuting hassles.
  • You can choose templates or your own designs easily online, and your order processed quickly - better turnaround time than if you DIY printing jobs.

In my opinion, online printing, such as brochure printing, can actually help you being more productive, by outsourcing other jobs that don’t need our intensive attention.

How to choose a good online printing shop? You can start by visiting online printing websites and see whether there are testimonials around.

A better way - do a little investigation by wandering around in forums and social media to see which online printing shops are thumbed up and which ones are thumbed down.

You can also probe by posting a thread, looking for recommendations. This works well for me in choosing a web host.
